Imagine the world
If it were like this
The world was joyful
The laughter didn’t die
The world was happiness
There was never a faint cry
The world was truthful
There was never a told lie
The world was forever
There was never a goodbye
The world was easy
You didn’t even have to try
You can imagine all of these things
But it’s the real things that push through and win
You can imagine all these happy thoughts
But in the end they get mixed in with unfortunate knots
There will always be barriers
Separating you and what you want
In all the joy
The laughter always dies
With all the happiness
There must be faint cries
In all the truth
People tell lies
The world doesn’t last forever
There are some sad goodbyes
The world is not easy
You do have to try
You must try your best
To get through it all
Learn from your mistakes
To make sense of the scrawl
Keep going
And do no fall
Stand up straight
Stand up tall
For you have to be strong
To push through the wall
