Creative Corner - PHOEBE

Oh Phoebe
How our hearts break
Oh Phoebe
Where did your innocence go
Oh Phoebe
How beautiful you are
Oh Phoebe
How could they
Oh Phoebe
The things we didn't know
Oh Phoebe
You were always "ok"
Oh Phoebe
You contained so much joy
Oh Phoebe
The laughter that once filled the room
Faded away into silence
Oh Phoebe
The cruelty

Oh Phoebe
Remember the dress
Oh Phoebe
How excited you were
To walk in that beautiful dress
Oh Phoebe
How in love with life you were
Oh Phoebe
The dreams you had
Oh Phoebe
All that talent
Oh Phoebe
Where has it gone
Oh Phoebe
Who you could have been
Oh Phoebe
You couldn't stand in the rain
Oh Phoebe
You could no longer endure the pain

Oh Phoebe
If only you could have felt His touch
Oh Phoebe
The warmth of His love
Oh Phoebe
How much he loves YOU
Oh Phoebe
The thousand tears that were held deep inside
That ran in the darkness of the night
Oh Phoebe
All those tears He held in His hand
Oh Phoebe
For all of them
He cried a thousand more
Oh Phoebe
If only you could've known
Oh Phoebe
I'm sorry Phoebe
Oh Phoebe
I'm so sorry
Oh Phoebe

But now it's too late

Phoebe Prince died by a suicide attempt on January 14 2010
She was a happy, bubbly 15 year old girl.
But that was taken away.
She was a victim of bullying.
Harsh verbal and physical attacks were thrown at her.
She couldn't dodge them.
She couldn't endure it any longer.
She took her life with a rope around her neck.
Unfortunately this is not unusual.
Many children are bullied.
30 percent of students between grade 6 and 10 are bullied.
That doesn't mean that elementary aged students and upper high school students are not.
In fact often time bullying begins in elementary.
What a cruel crime against humanity many of us are committing.
It breaks my heart.
Especially since God made each and every one of us special in his sight.
He loves us.
I encourage you to stand up for the bullied.
Love the bullied.
Speak out for the bullied for often times they are too afraid to speak for themselves.
Will you show them Jesus' love?
Or pass them by just like every other person?
We can change this.
You can change this.
I will change this.
Will you?

I heard that whenever she was mad or something she listened to her iPod and shut herself off. She kept all her hurts inside. After a while she couldn't take every thing she was holding inside. I hurt for everyone in her situation. :(

I'm speechless. It makes me hurt for them. I'm going to make it a daily thing to stick up for the bullied and to tell them about Jesus. This has really touched me.

That....... was to true. That was overly, overly touching. Bullying to me is a crime that should never be committed and happens to way to many people. Except to me it's a crime that is hard to look for. I know what it feels like and I hurt for this girl's family and friends.
