As I was rising up to Heaven,
The day the Lord came back,
I could see His glory shining
With His angels all around.
Surrounded by my loved ones,
Family and friends and all,
I felt a tear roll down my check
As I heard the names He called.
He said, "Well done my faithful servant,
You have won eternal life with Me."
And I said, "What about them?
The ones that I love?
They tried hard to live life right.
Please let them into Heaven,
Just do it Lord for me.
They thought they were doing right.
Please let them in for me."
Jesus saw the tears in my eyes
And He wiped them all away.
He said now My precious child,
I have felt the same way everyday.
Now you are where you belong.
Heaven is now your home.
Child, take a look around
At all the lives that you have changed."
"Yes Lord," I replied, "I know."
"You have done a great thing through me,
You have changed everything.
But please, please let them in for me."
As I looked at my Saviors face,
I swear I saw tears in His eyes.
As He held me close to His chest
And He kindly let me cry.
Now I know He understands
What I'm feeling now.
