All around me I hear the calls,
the calls to be beautiful,
the calls to be skinny and cool,
the calls to damage my body,
the calls to do what I want,
when I want, without any regard for others,
and the calls to follow.
Still there are more, maybe not the loudest or the strongest,
they are the calls to be kind,
to bring people up, instead of down,
the calls to glorify, and go against the flow,
and the calls to help.
These calls wage war all around me.
They want me to pick a side.
One side tempts me with what I want to do,
the other lets me choose on my own.
In the end I know I have chosen the right side.
Have you?
